CallPlate provides AI-powered phone answering, order taking, messaging, and restaurant communication services.
You agree to use our services legally and provide accurate business information. You may not misuse, copy, or interfere with the platform.
Our AI system is designed to assist restaurants but may occasionally make mistakes or experience interruptions. Restaurants are responsible for reviewing and confirming orders when needed.
CallPlate uses an SMS double opt-in process. When a customer places an order through a restaurant served by CallPlate, the customer's phone number is collected solely for the purpose of fulfilling that order. Immediately after the order is confirmed, a single transactional confirmation message is sent to that number. If the customer wishes to receive further order updates (such as ready-for-pickup notifications or delivery status), they must affirmatively reply "YES" to enroll. Customers may reply "STOP" at any time to opt out of all further messages, and "HELP" for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Restaurants using CallPlate confirm that they have the right to send transactional messages to customers who provided their phone number for the purpose of placing an order, in compliance with applicable laws including the TCPA and carrier requirements.

CallPlate is not responsible for lost profits, missed orders, service interruptions, or indirect damages related to the use of the platform.

When customers call a restaurant served by CallPlate, our AI assistant processes the call to take orders and provide service. In doing so, we may collect: the caller's phone number, the contents of the order, the audio of the call (for quality and training purposes), and any information the caller voluntarily provides during the call. For restaurants using our platform, we collect business information such as restaurant name, address, menu data, point-of-sale credentials, and contact details necessary to provide the service.
We use the information we collect to: answer calls and take orders on behalf of restaurants; send order confirmations and order-status updates by SMS to customers who opt in; integrate orders with restaurant point-of-sale systems; provide customer support; improve and train our AI systems; maintain platform security; and comply with legal obligations.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as telephony providers, cloud hosting, and SMS carriers) under appropriate confidentiality terms. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CallPlate, our customers, or others. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
We retain call recordings, transcripts, and order data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support restaurant operations, train our AI, and meet legal and regulatory obligations. Customers may request deletion of their personal information by contacting us at the email below, subject to legal retention requirements.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Customers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. Customers and restaurants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by CallPlate by emailing us at the address below. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated Policy will be posted on our website with a revised Effective Date.
